---ART STEJSKAL, Seniors and Visitation Pastor

Art was born and raised in Brookfield, a western suburb of Chicago, Illinois. He received a B.A. and M.A. degree from Wheaton College and Wheaton College Grad School. Art met his wife Alice while completing his BD degree at Northern Baptist Seminary. They were married in September 1958 and in July, 1959 they began their missionary work with The Evangelical Alliance Mission. TEAM is an evangelical mission agency which helps churches send missionaries to plant reproducing churches in other nations.

Art and Alice worked for 28 years with churches among the Amis tribal people on the East Coast of Taiwan producing literacy materials and teaching the people to read their language. He taught and preached in 124 growing churches. He also served as chaplain, evangelistic coordinator and general administrator in a 100 bed
Christian Hospital sponsored by TEAM.

In 1986 he was appointed Director of TEAM
Philippines for six years where he coordinated church planting and served on various committees and boards. Upon retiring from active missionary service Art served for six years as Minister of Visitation and Outreach at the Evangelical Covenant Church of Princeton, IL.

In 1998 he and Alice moved to
Fort Lauderdale, where they came to RVCC., answering the call to serve as Minister of Visitation and Seniors since October 1999. Art's ministry centers around coordinating senior programs and activities and church visitation programs. He schedules hospital and care visits and is currently encouraging a lay shepard ministry at RVCC.

He enjoys living close to daughter Gwen, her husband Don, and their four grandchildren. He likes to swim, do woodworking projects, visit with people and generally enjoys life in sunny
Florida. His youngest daughter, Sharon and her husband Terry are missionaries to Morrison Christian Academy on Taiwan.
