David Ingram

DAVE INGRAM, Associate Pastor

Dave Ingram was born in the North Hills suburbs of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and graduated from North Hills High School in 1971. He attended Westminster College in New Wilmington, PA, a small college affiliated with the Presbyterian Church, where he played and lettered in baseball for 3 years. He graduated in 1975 with a double major in Psychology and Religion.

During his 4 years of college, Dave worked during the summers at First Presbyterian Church Camp, a Christian Camp in Ligonier, PA. as a full time staff person. It was during these summers that he experienced the Lord shaping and revealing His gifts for ministry, and giving him his grounding in theology. This was accomplished through his friend and Camp Director, Dave Dorst, (who was instrumental in leading Dave to his commitment to Christ as Savior and Lord while he was in Jr. High) and through the teaching ministry of Dr. R. C. Sproul at the newly founded Ligonier Valley Study Center.

Dave then attended Union Theological Seminary in Richmond, Virginia, and graduated in 1979 with a Dr. of Ministry degree. He returned to Pittsburgh to work once again with Dave Dorst, as the Associate Pastor at Beverly Heights UP Church in Mt. Lebanon, PA. Dave continued in that capacity until December of 1991, when he moved to Philadelphia where he served as Sr. Pastor of Roxborough Presbyterian Church for three years.

In January of 1995, Dave answered God's call (and perhaps the call of "year-round golf"!) to move to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. As Associate Pastor of Rio Vista Community Church, Dave's job description centers around Evangelism and Discipleship, although he's involved in all facets of the church's ministry.

Dave married his high school sweetheart in 1977, and he and Barb have 2 children. Laurie is married to J.P. Sibley and in her third year of teaching first grade, and Bethany is a Senior at the University of Florida. Dave loves to play golf and volleyball.
