Carter was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Growing up in a Christian household Carter learned about the gospel of Jesus Christ, but it was not until his senior year discovered the relevance of Jesus and his incomparable worth. He graduated high school from Westminster Academy, which led him to attend “THE FLORIDA STATE UNIVERSITY.” During summer breaks in college Carter had the opportunity to serve as a intern at IMPACT student ministries under the guidance of Rob Pacienza. Carter felt called to full-time ministry his sophomore year of college through the combination of his time at IMPACT and Campus Crusade for Christ. In 2008 he graduated with a degree in Religion, and immediately accepted a position as Associate Director of Student Ministries at Rio Vista Community Church. Shortly after beginning at Rio Vista Carter was asked to take over as Director of Student Ministries, which he thought about for 2.2 seconds. Carter is now pursuing a Masters of Divinity at Knox Theological Seminary, and is living out his dream to reveal the relevance of Jesus in today’s culture at IMPACT.
