Matt Lomenick was born in St. Louis, Missouri but raised in South Florida. He grew up on Key Biscayne and spent his early days boating, fishing and playing sports. He attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Tx, where he received his B.F.A. in advertising. Hearing a call to professional ministry at that point, he spent a year as an interim college pastor at Highland Park Presbyterian Church before attending Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando, where he received his Master of Divinity degree and was ordained in 1997. Matt was a youth pastor for 10 years before taking a break from professional ministry and has worked in the construction industry ever since, but now he’s back and excited to be a part of leading people into a growing relationship with Christ at Rio.
