James is the son of retired Lt. Col in the Air Force, Ken Calabria and his wife Pat. He was born on an American Air Force Base in Okinawa, Japan. James spent most of his life in Amherst, New Hampshire and has been in Florida since 1993, he has a son named Tyler, who is now 13...
James has been playing the guitar since the age of 10 and has learned many other instruments such as the drums, bass, and piano. While growing up, his love for music continually grew through listening to his father sing and being in the company of his close friends who were also musicians. He played in a local band for many years with his best friend, Erik Bakken, who you can also see in Rio's praise band! James toured the US and Europe with the Continental Singers (guitar player). Watching the Lord work through this and drawing people near became a life changing experience.
After graduation from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, he now plays in the Worship Team for God, who gave him his talent.
