<itunes:summary>This week, we hear the story of the first miracle Jesus performed in public, the changing of water into wine at the wedding feast in Cana. It is a familiar story, but there may be things you miss if you read through it too fast. Tom slows us down and goes through the metaphors and images, savoring each one, to get at what’s really happening in this story. Yes, there is water and there is wine, and yes, there is a wedding feast with a bride and bridegroom. However, the water isn’t only water, the wine isn’t just wine, and there are more than one bride and bridegroom in view. <title>I Am The Resurrection and The Life</title>
<description>Our Advent Series on five of the I Am statements of Jesus. Jesus proclaimed Himself, His very person, to be the source of life and the only answer to the brokenness and corruption of this world.</description>

<itunes:subtitle>Jesus In His Own Words for Advent</itunes:subtitle>
<itunes:summary>Jesus proclaimed Himself, His very person, to be the source of life and the only answer to the brokenness and corruption of this world. Jesus made the bold claim that we are all dead spiritually and as good as dead physically, and that our only hope is to give our lives to the One who conquered death for all who would trust in Him. Behind the manger and the Magi and the shepherds and the carols and everything that we have come to understand as Christmas stands this radical Jewish rabbi who claimed to be the source of life--God Himself. <itunes:summary>The start of a new series based in Revelation chapter 21 and 22:1-5, covering the new heavens and the new earth. What will they be like? This week, Tom answers questions people have asked him in the weeks leading up to this series. Some of them are, perhaps, light-hearted (will your pet join you in heaven?), while others of them are more theologically serious (what about the end times – will there be this “Rapture” we’ve heard about?). Tom spends this sermon addressing the questions, to clear the decks for his teaching from Revelation chapter 21 and 22.</itunes:summary>
