Outward
The Outward Ministry exists to create a servant leadership culture at Rio Vista Community Church.
Strategy of Ministry
1) Equip
• Communicate a compelling outward ministry vision to the whole congregation.
• Provide tools to identify ministry gifts.
• Provide ministry-specific outward training.
• Incorporate outward application into all of our teaching and preaching, including community group studies.
2) Empower
• Create an expectation for ministry involvement among Rio members.
• Cultivate leadership culture in each individual ministry and identify places to serve.
• Recruit and mentor gifted, called servants to fill these roles.
• Provide a practical way for people to start outward ministries through Rio.
3) Connect
• Identify each Rio ministry’s role in fulfilling our mission.
• Create “Ministry Trees” that identify a course of action for whatever need may be brought to us.
• Continue to improve our ministry relationship with unchurched Bethany families.
• Increase Rio’s exposure to the community, clarify our message and expand our influence.
