Rio Vista Community Church

Our Cross Reference Team meets Monday nights at 6:30pm in the Fellowship Hall. 

Our mission is to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ by presenting quality drama that entertains, encourages introspection and effectively communicates the message being delivered.

What is it? The Cross Reference Players are a core group of actors, directors and writers committed to honing their craft with the vision of developing working and personal relationships. Cross Reference Players participate in several different areas…sketches for the Worship Service, sketches for other ministry areas and outreach through our full length plays and musicals.

To be involved as a Core Member in Cross Reference, one must attend an orientation class for actors, directors, writers, technicians including props, scenery, sound & lights. The 2006 annual orientation will beheld in February, stay tuned for more information. Cross Reference meets weekly for 3 hours for training and fellowship. In addition to the group meetings, actors that are in a sketch have additional rehearsal time before a Sunday morning Worship Service or other event.

You do not have to be a Core Member to participate with the Drama Ministry. We also have a group of Drama Support Team Members. Our support team is made up of former players, as well as newcomers to RVCC who are looking to get their feet a little wet. We are looking for actors, directors, writers, technicians including props, scenery, sound & lights. As Rio Vista continues growing so does our pool of talented, service-oriented people who want to serve through Drama. We would love to add you to the Cross Reference Team!
