This message focuses on the image of resurrection that we find in a birth from barrenness. The idea is that, in giving a child to a barren woman, God is bringing life out of a womb that is dead. Having said that, from the beginning of time, we're looking for more than just a man born from a womb that is effectively dead. We're looking for one born of a miraculous birth who also conquers sin, death, the curse, and the Serpent of old (i.e., Satan). That man is Jesus and this message shows how numerous Old Testament characters prefigure Christ's birth and resurrection and victory over the beast. It also reveals how the story of Christ's own birth in the New Testament prefigures his own death, burial, ressurection and victory of the beast.
